Singer and dancer Dani Leigh had what appears to be one too many over the Memorial Day holiday.
The dancer, who is also the mother to one DaBaby’s daughters is being accused of driving drunk and hitting a moped rider on South Beach.
Dani Leigh who’s real name is Danielle Leigh Curiel, was taken into custody around 8:15 AM Tuesday at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center near Miami International Airport after police say she dragged the moped for almost a block before officers caught up with her.
The incident happened near Miami Beach early Tuesday morning. Several witnesses share they saw Dani driving a Mercedes G-Wagon at a high rate of speed and swerving in and out of lanes.
The police are accusing Dani of hitting an unnamed moped rider near 11th Street just outside Miami Beach police headquarters.
In a police report officers share they pulled Dani over near 16th Street after she initially refused to stop. The report states her SUV smelled of alcohol and she had “sluggish” motor skills.
According to police, two breathalyzer tests came back at 0.145% and 0.148%, which is nearly twice the legal limit. Officers also found an empty bottle of Don Julio 1942 tequila in the car.
The victim survived and was reportedly taken to Ryder Trauma Center in Miami where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, including a kidney laceration and a spinal fracture.
Many of us know that the Memorial Day weekend is full of drinking and partying.
While the report also shared Dani said she was coming back from a Memorial Day party Dani informed officers that she “never hit” anyone and hadn’t consumed any alcohol.

Aside from the felony hit-and-run charge, Dani also received two drunken driving citations.
She is no longer listed in Miami-Dade jail records as of Tuesday afternoon and has since been released on $9,500 bond.
As of now, no statement has been issued from Dani.
